HELP!!! QUICK!!

I am at lincoln Christian College this weekend talking with some who are interested in joining a long term team to west africa, but on my way here i got a call from a lady from the church I preach at telling me that our head elder's wife died. The funeral is on monday, but this makes things for sunday different as well. My sermon was finished, but it is not excactly what they need to hear write now. It is saterday morning and i dont have time to write a new sermon. Do I? Any quick bits of wisdom or suggestions I would appreciate.
Epp, if you have anything to say I would rather you keep your mouth shut because what you said about texas. :) Okay, not really. I could use any help I can get, even from a pagan. Thanks folks.

Brother,
It's time for a new Sermon. You now have next week's sermon wrote. A rushed sermon which speaks to the heart is better than a well-tuned sermon with little relevancy.

Love you and am praying for you.

Arod, I agree with Jay. I know we consider it a sin around here to have even a hint of unorganization, but allow it. I know this is against your nature. It's ok. We are praying for you.

Arod,

I just want to echo these guys. Preach from and to the heart bro. Don't worry about it not being your most polished message. You'll do great!

Oh! I had every intention of writing a new sermon. I should have been clearer on the post. What I was looking for was tips on the new sermon. What do you say to a congregation, half of which is related to the woman, but not make it the funeral sermon. it is 8:00 and i think i have somewhat what i am going to say. The sermon is titled "In the midst of loss" I will introduce it with Is. 57:a, talk Margrete (tell some stories about her faithfulness, and then talk about the number of people in my life close that have died. In a world of such loss how does the christian respond? The main text for the sermon isd 2 Cor. 1.
We look up
God as Father
John 11
Job 1:21
ANYTHING ELSE?????
We look around
As a church we comfort each other
Peter in John in prison
Hybels ill. in Couragous Leadership about the small group helping a couple in the loss of their child.
ANYTHING ELSE????
We look ahead
1 Thess 4:13-18
Rev 21:4
1 Cor 15:50-57
Keep your fork illustration.

I will close with the next verse in Is. 57, Rom 14:8, and Phil 1:21.

I will be up for a while. Can any of you put more meat to these bones?? I love you guys!

Drew, you should know me better. Unorgainization is my life. I go crazy with orgainization.
When i was writing the sermon in the car today i developed what i had in like 45 minutes. I started thinking to myself, "huh, if it only takes me this long to write a sermon what in the world am i doing spending so much time every other week?" But then Proctor's lectures became coming back and i repented.

Festival of Friends
By Bruce Cockburn (pr. Coburn)

An elegant song won't hold up long
When the palace falls and the parlour's gone
We all must leave but it's not the end
We'll meet again at the festival of friends.

Smiles and laughter and pleasant times
There's love in the world but it's hard to find
I'm so glad I found you -- I'd just like to extend
An invitation to the festival of friends.

Some of us live and some of us die
Someday God's going to tell us why
Open your heart and grow with what life sends
That's your ticket to the festival of friends.

Like an imitation of a good thing past
These days of darkness surely will not last
Jesus was here and he's coming again
To lead us to his festival of friends.

Black snake highway -- sheet metal ballet
It's just so much snow on a summer day
Whatever happens, it's not the end
We'll meet again at the festival of friends.
